About two weeks ago I watched this film at home alone at night. For those who don’t know, this is a drama starring Bruce Willis. In fact, after watching the first half hour of the film, I realized that I had only seen it briefly. And for some reason I decided to continue watching.
Briefly about the plot. Bruce Willis is a master at talking to criminals who are holding hostages. But one fine day he fails – the criminal killed everyone, including himself. Naturally, after that he becomes an ordinary sheriff or something like that and drives around in such a fucking jeep. But disaster strikes again. Teenage idiots take over the rich people’s house. including daughter, son and their father. And Bruce “due to certain circumstances” has to return to the game again. Well, I won’t say anything more about the plot. If you’re going to watch it, it’s best not to spoil it.
So. The main advantage of this film is the first 15 minutes. Just the scene when Bruce Willis could not come to an agreement with the criminal. Wheelis is unshaven, hairy, running around shouting something at everyone. Actually funny there. And exactly a second after the failure, the inscription “A year later”, and a completely shaved, bald, calm Bruce Willis. That’s how easy it is for this actor. If he has depression, a bad mood, problems in the family, then he just shaves and walks around gloomy. Excellent "scenario move". What’s really compelling about the film?? Well, I think, first of all, that the viewer is interested in what will happen next? Still, it’s not every day that they make films where three teenagers capture people in their home. I would like to see their behavior. And you know why you believe them. If one of them is a maniac, it becomes clear from his first appearance on the screen. If a good-natured younger brother is dragged along by a bad-natured older brother, then everything is clear too. And they behave the same way as I think these types of people would behave in reality. I really liked Maniac Duck, he also reminded me a lot of a crow in appearance. Well, Bruce Willis will always come up with something new, because the circumstances in the film force him. Well, yes. The development of events is one of the few that can keep people glued to the screens. The acting is nothing special. Action, special effects, chases – there is no trace of any of this. Although the last 20 minutes in the house itself turned out to be very atmospheric and the denouement is not the worst for such films. Otherwise, it’s clear that they didn’t spend a lot on the film and made the most of the budget. It turned out more than good, generally a great option for watching TV. This is a well deserved 7/10. But without revelations of course
